Apre Lapli Candle | After the Storm

Apre lapli is Kreyòl for "after the rain." My mother would say it when things got hard: the rain always passes, and something grows in its place. This candle is that reminder, in a jar.

Light it on the hard days. Or send it to the friend who's weathering one. It says "I'm thinking of you" better than a text ever could.

Nadege's note: The 4 oz travel tin lives in my carry-on. Hotel rooms feel like home in about ten minutes.
